GA Agency joins Save the Children for the Christmas Jumper Day 2021

GA Agency signed up to participate and contribute to the fundraising, and it was a success! Thanks to the generosity of our colleagues and the firm, it was possible to raise funds that will help lighten up the Christmas days of many children.

What is Christmas Jumper Day?

On Friday 10 December, Save the Children organized a simple yet entertaining fundraising event to raise money to give a more magical Christmas to many children around the world. This initiative consists in wearing a jazzy jumper to protect from the cold weather and to spice up the office while donating for a good cause.

About Save the Children

Save the Children is a global organisation that works across 122 countries to respond to major emergencies, deliver innovative development programmes, and make sure to build a better future for children worldwide. They work according to solid and shareable values, namely accountability, ambition, collaboration, creativity, and integrity. 

The agency decided to join because we believe in the mission of Save the Children and we saw this opportunity as a fun and creative way to support children in need. By pulling on our glittery Christmas jumpers and donating, it is possible to help the children get the basics they need to live like the other children. For instance, just £20 could get a child a back-to-school kit in Indonesia. 

The spirit of generosity of our agency can be summarised by the words of Clelia, one of our colleagues: “I really appreciated the charitable initiative that my company organized for this Christmas. I believe doing this type of positive action shows the values that are at the core of GA Agency. Drive In-Store Visits with Google Ads

The Update 

Even though consumer trends are increasingly shifting towards online shopping, rising from 5.1% in 2007 to 13% in 2017, the majority of sales still take place offline, at 87% in 2017, according to the US Department of Commerce Statistics. 

A recent Google study found that majority of consumers research products and brands online at home before visiting or considering a purchase offline. In response to the findings, Google Ads introduced the integration of store-visits following campaign clicks in its analytics. It measures those who have clicked on the ad and visited the store for a specific amount of time, using location history when enabled on a consumer’s phone. 

For accuracy, conversion data excludes specific duration visits such as extraordinary long and consistent hours, who resemble employees, and it excludes very brief visits as people might surpass the store while being on the street. Also, the aggregation of data is protected by remaining anonymous and cannot be assigned to a specific search. However, it does show which campaigns and keywords are most effective or drive the in-store visits. 

What This Means for Your Business 

By being able to more accurately measure the impact of your ads to in-store traffic, marketers can earn more customers, value mobile marketing more optimally, and optimize for consumer behavior.  

Businesses with physical stores should use these Google Ads ad features to measure the impact of online advertising activities in terms of in-store traffic, optimizing campaigns and keywords based on this conversion goal.

This year I have discovered my interest in this field through an internship experience, and now I am eager to find out everything there is to know about this topic. I am very passionate about creative industries; indeed, I have conducted my master’s studies on the management of creative and cultural companies such as media and fashion industries. I am extremely curious and when it comes to working on new projects, I always put all of my efforts to reach the best results.

I have a background in literary studies with a sociological perspective – which means that I don’t only read books, but I also spend countless hours on big spreadsheets. I left sunny Tuscany for rainy England in 2018, to start a Ph.D. in Italian and Translation Studies at the University of Leeds.

I have always been fascinated by the world of digital marketing, as it combines my two passions, researching and writing (and also my beloved spreadsheets). Joining such a talented team will definitely help me to improve my knowledge and skills, as the ultimate goal is to never stop learning. Our Ways of Working

After over a year of working remotely due to covid-19, we have now transitioned back to working from office mode, whilst still fully embracing collaborative remote working with our international colleagues and clients. 

Being a global company, remote working has always been part of our ways of working, as both our colleagues and clients are located across the globe. We are used to collaborating with our clients in the USA, Canada, Singapore, UAE, Russia, Australia, and all across many countries in Europe. 

Whilst we encourage our staff and clients to meet us at our new office space, we remain fully open to remote collaboration.
