2nd June – 5th June, Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations:

This year in the UK we have a very special event, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. You can pick the right design by using the UK’s typical flag colors – red, blue, and white.

5th November – Bonfire Night:

Bonfire night is celebrated every year across the country with fireworks, bonfires, and toffee apples. On this date, the British celebrate the failed attempt of the Gunpowder plot, aimed at blowing up the British government in 1605. Guy Fawkes, a member of the plot, is represented as a dummy man made out of newspapers and clothes which gets lit up during the ceremony. You can celebrate this holiday with your customers through social media posts, themed campaigns, or giveaways.

26th November & 29th November – Black Friday and Cyber Monday:

Black Friday has grown from a small event into a global phenomenon. IIn the UK, the biggest online shopping day has been Cyber Monday for the past couple of years.. We recommend creating newsletter and social media campaigns, teasing some of the deals in advance of these dates to create excitement for your loyal customers.

26th December – Boxing Day:

Boxing Day is defined as the UK’s largest online retail day! Target the customers who are looking for last-minute gift ideas and provide them with great discounts and promotions. GA Agency joins Save the Children for the Christmas Jumper Day 2021

GA Agency signed up to participate and contribute to the fundraising, and it was a success! Thanks to the generosity of our colleagues and the firm, it was possible to raise funds that will help lighten up the Christmas days of many children.

What is Christmas Jumper Day?

On Friday 10 December, Save the Children organized a simple yet entertaining fundraising event to raise money to give a more magical Christmas to many children around the world. This initiative consists in wearing a jazzy jumper to protect from the cold weather and to spice up the office while donating for a good cause.

About Save the Children

Save the Children is a global organisation that works across 122 countries to respond to major emergencies, deliver innovative development programmes, and make sure to build a better future for children worldwide. They work according to solid and shareable values, namely accountability, ambition, collaboration, creativity, and integrity.

The agency decided to join because we believe in the mission of Save the Children and we saw this opportunity as a fun and creative way to support children in need. By pulling on our glittery Christmas jumpers and donating, it is possible to help the children get the basics they need to live like the other children. For instance, just £20 could get a child a back-to-school kit in Indonesia.

The spirit of generosity of our agency can be summarised by the words of Clelia, one of our colleagues: “I really appreciated the charitable initiative that my company organized for this Christmas. I believe doing this type of positive action shows the values that are at the core of GA Agency. I felt really proud of the people I work with when I saw the number of donations that we reached for Save the Children. I also was very happy to think maybe my small donation has made a difference in someone’s life.”

In addition to the many donations, several colleagues participated in the initiative by wearing their beautiful Christmas sweaters!

We take this festive occasion to wish you happy holidays.

Drive In-Store Visits with Google Ads

The Update

Even though consumer trends are increasingly shifting towards online shopping, rising from 5.1% in 2007 to 13% in 2017, the majority of sales still take place offline, at 87% in 2017, according to the US Department of Commerce Statistics.

A recent Google study found that majority of consumers research products and brands online at home before visiting or considering a purchase offline. In response to the findings, Google Ads introduced the integration of store-visits following campaign clicks in its analytics. It measures those who have clicked on the ad and visited the store for a specific amount of time, using location history when enabled on a consumer’s phone.

For accuracy, conversion data excludes specific duration visits such as extraordinary long and consistent hours, who resemble employees, and it excludes very brief visits as people might surpass the store while being on the street. Also, the aggregation of data is protected by remaining anonymous and cannot be assigned to a specific search. However, it does show which campaigns and keywords are most effective or drive the in-store visits.

What This Means for Your Business

By being able to more accurately measure the impact of your ads to in-store traffic, marketers can earn more customers, value mobile marketing more optimally, and optimize for consumer behavior.

Businesses with physical stores should use these Google Ads ad features to measure the impact of online advertising activities in terms of in-store traffic, optimizing campaigns and keywords based on this conversion goal.

First, we advise businesses who own a physical store presence to enable this conversion goal setting and benefit from the additional data generated by Google to get more value and create a more coherent and effective customer journey.

Second, businesses can benefit from the data. We advise to map out the consumer journey and reach their customers at essential key moments of it.

Finally, we suggest creating Google My Business page to show local presence on Google Maps linking that with the location extension on Google Ads.

Welcome Clelia, Francesca and Zaira to our Team

2021 has been a year of accelerated expansion as our team continues to grow each month. This month, we are welcoming three new joiners: Clelia, Francesca and Zaira to our team. Clelia and Zaira are joining us as Junior Digital Marketing Specialists and Francesca is joining us as a Junior SEO Specialist

A few words from Clelia, our new Junior Digital Marketing Specialist:

“I am extremely delighted to be joining GA agency and I cannot wait to deepen my knowledge in digital marketing!

This year I have discovered my interest in this field through an internship experience, and now I am eager to find out everything there is to know about this topic. I am very passionate about creative industries; indeed, I have conducted my master’s studies on the management of creative and cultural companies such as media and fashion industries. I am extremely curious and when it comes to working on new projects, I always put all of my efforts to reach the best results.
I love travelling and I spent a part of my studies abroad, an experience that made me understand the beauty of being involved in a multicultural environment. I have recently finished my academic path and I am very excited to see what the future holds for me at GA agency!”

A few words from Francesca, our Junior SEO Specialist:

I am incredibly happy to join the GA team!

I have a background in literary studies with a sociological perspective – which means that I don’t only read books, but I also spend countless hours on big spreadsheets. I left sunny Tuscany for rainy England in 2018, to start a Ph.D. in Italian and Translation Studies at the University of Leeds.

I have always been fascinated by the world of digital marketing, as it combines my two passions, researching and writing (and also my beloved spreadsheets). Joining such a talented team will definitely help me to improve my knowledge and skills, as the ultimate goal is to never stop learning. I am now part of the GA SEO team as a junior SEO specialist, where I am working on several e-commerce, real estate and luxury industry projects.

In my spare time, I am a cat person who also happens to love dogs, I’m into the history of graveyards – but not in a creepy way –, I love my ever-increasing collection of house plants, and I’m developing a passion for flipping furniture.”

A few words from Zaira, our new Junior Digital Marketing Specialist:

I am very excited to join GA Agency as a Junior Digital Marketing Specialist!

As someone who is driven by curiosity, it has always been natural for me to have many different interests. During my bachelor degree studies, I had my first marketing experience, and after that moment, I became very passionate about it. Thus, I decided to continue my education with MSc in Digital Marketing and E-Commerce studies, which gave me the chance to learn a great deal about this complex area.

In my previous work experiences, I’ve been volunteering as a Community manager and social media content creator. That’s why I think joining GA Agency is the right step for me since I will be able to learn from all the diverse team members and be able to strive as a great professional in digital marketing.”

It is great to have you all on our team, Clelia, Francesca and Zaira!
