Google has recently added four new features for Google My Business that should help companies make their listings more relevant.

- Online appointment
- Online estimates
- Online classes
Businesses can show these, as well as other, attributes on their Google My Business profile and Google might show them in the search results for related searches.
How Google My Business Attributes Work
GMB attributes show the most important services that are offered by a business, which should help consumers make more informed decisions. Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of these attributes are now related to online services, while before they used to be related to more tangible ones, such as the availability of free wi-fi or wheelchair accessibility.
These services are meant to make it easier for businesses to connect with their customers and have also highlighted the importance of having an online presence during these times.
One thing to keep in mind is that different attributes are available depending on the type of business you are running, so not all of them are accessible. For instance, a cafe won’t be able to add the online care or online classes attributes.
These additional attributes come just after GMB’s update in May, where restaurants had the chance to add to their profile whether they had dine-in, take-away or delivery options.
