For instance, you might see information from Google\u2019s Knowledge Graph related to that result, telling users <strong>what they are seeing<\/strong>, a feature which used to belong to Google Search only.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is a Knowledge Graph?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Knowledge Graph is Google\u2019s way of collecting information and creating interconnected search results in order to make them more accurate. It is like a repository of information, whose <strong>key facts<\/strong> are surfaced and shown in knowledge panels as a simplified way to get information. <strong>Knowledge panels<\/strong> are<strong> information boxes<\/strong> which are generally presented next to search results. They usually include a title and short summary of the topic, a longer description of the subject, pictures about the person, place or thing the user is searching for, key facts about the topic and links to other websites or social media profiles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em> Example of a knowledge panel&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ga.agency\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Knowledgepanelexample_GAAgency-797x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4487\" width=\"598\" height=\"768\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ga.agency\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Knowledgepanelexample_GAAgency-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4489\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How the Google Image Update Works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Underneath a photo you will find a drop-down menu showing more <strong>details about the search<\/strong>. This includes information about <strong>people<\/strong>, <strong>things<\/strong> or <strong>places<\/strong> most related to that photo. You will also find a short description and a series of related topics. All this information is taken from the <strong>Knowledge Graph<\/strong> and it is meant to give some <strong>context<\/strong> and explain what the image is about. In <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/products\/search\/knowledge-graph-google-images\">Google<\/a>\u2019s own words: \u201cto generate these links to relevant Knowledge Graph entities, we take <strong>what we understand about the image<\/strong> through deep learning, which evaluates an image\u2019s visual and text signals, and <strong>combine it with Google\u2019s understanding of the text<\/strong> on the image\u2019s web page. This information helps us determine the most likely people, places or things relevant to a specific image. We match this with existing topics in the Knowledge Graph, and then surface them in Google Images when we\u2019re confident we\u2019ve found a match.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This feature is currently available only for <strong>mobile users<\/strong> in the US and for a few images, but it will probably expand to more languages, images and services in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ga.agency\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Googleimagesexample_AgenziaGA-507x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4491\" width=\"380\" height=\"768\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What Does This Mean For Your Business<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This update gives you an opportunity to drive <strong>more traffic<\/strong> to your website. By giving more information about an image, Google is also giving people more chances to click on the image source. However, keep in mind that the \u201cquick facts\u201d and the images come from different sources across the web. Therefore, you will only have an advantage if your website is able to be included in Google\u2019s Knowledge Graph.
