This week they announced they were <strong>updating their product review ranking<\/strong>, as they received a lot of feedback that people prefer detailed reviews with evidence of the products actually being tested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As explained by <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/products\/search\/more-helpful-product-reviews\/\">Google<\/a>, this latest update will <strong>ensure that product reviews in Search meet specific criteria<\/strong>, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Include helpful in-depth details, like the benefits or drawbacks of a certain item, specifics on how a product performs or how the product differs from previous versions<br><\/em><\/li><li><em>Come from people who have actually used the products, and show what the product is physically like or how it\u2019s used<br><\/em><\/li><li><em>Include unique information beyond what the manufacturer provides \u2014 like visuals, audio or links to other content detailing the reviewer\u2019s experience<br><\/em><\/li><li><em>Cover comparable products, or explain&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This update will be rolled out over the next few weeks and have warned that it could <strong>impact the rankings for English-language product reviews <\/strong>across many websites.
