Experiential Learning in the Lakes: Our Visit to Impact’s Headquarters in the Lake District

In May, some of the GA Agency team travelled to the Lake District to visit our client, Impact. This immersive off-site wasn’t just a chance to reconnect face-to-face, but also to step into the shoes of programme participants and understand how Impact delivers its experiential learning programmes, tailor-made for every single leadership team they work with all around the globe.

On Monday evening, after arriving in the sunny Lakes, we were pleased to be joined by some of the Impact team for dinner, setting the tone for the days ahead.

Experiencing Experiential Learning

On Tuesday, the Impact team treated us to several experiential learning sessions as a hands-on way to grasp their methodology in action. These aren’t classroom-style lectures but rather dynamic, human-centred experiences designed to unlock human potential and develop leadership behaviours.

Using a variety of skills, both mental and physical, each activity demonstrated how human connection, communication, and collaboration lie at the heart of behaviour change.

These moments made it easier for us to see how Impact’s philosophy translates into real outcomes, helping us as marketers better communicate our value to the right audience, in the right channels.

Connecting Experience with Strategy

That evening, we came together again for a relaxed team dinner, taking time to reflect on how the day’s experiential learning activities could shape our marketing approach. Immersing ourselves in Impact’s methodology gave us first-hand insight into the kind of transformation their programmes deliver – not just in theory, but in action.

Experiencing the product as participants helped us better understand the emotional and behavioural shifts that define Impact’s work. These real-world impressions are invaluable for refining our messaging, elevating creative strategy, and ensuring both our Paid and Organic campaigns resonate with the right audiences, in the right context.

A Strategic Year in Review

On Wednesday morning, we returned to Impact’s offices for the core working session: our annual Business Review presentation. Over a comprehensive 73-slide deck, we unpacked marketing performance across all key markets — the UK, US, Singapore, and Hong Kong – combining cross-channel insights to highlight successes, challenges, and growth opportunities.

The session wasn’t just about reflecting on the past year. Half the conversation focused on forward-looking strategy and trends, with key themes including the rise of Generative AI in search, emerging search trends, cross-channel competitor insights and more.

Both teams left the room aligned and energised, with a shared roadmap and a strengthened partnership. Our in-person collaboration reaffirmed our commitment to delivering performance-driven, insight-led marketing strategies. And to grow together in the year ahead.
